The issue over the player contracts for the World Cup Tournament 2003 was resolved today following a protracted discussion held between the BCCSL Chairman and a few members of the Interim Committee along with the Chief Executive of the Board and the players selected to represent Sri Lanka in this tournament. Mr. Graeme Labroy of the Sri Lanka Cricketers Association was also present.

The following payments to the team was agreed upon-

(a) 12% of the guarantee fee the BCCSL receives from ICC for this tournament.
(b) US $ 15000 to be paid to the team for each match won in the reliminary round.
(c) 1% of the guarantee Fee on qualifying for the Super Sixes round.
(d) 1% of the Guarantee Fee qualifying to play in the Semi Final.
(e) 1% of the Guarantee Fee on qualifying to play in the final.

The Board readily agreed to a request made by the players to pay 2% of the Guarantee Fee to players in the Premier Division One Tournament.

All selected for the World Cup Tournament 2003 signed the player contracts.
