Norwest Shipping's "The Kimberley" has the pitch on board and is set to dock at approximately 8.00am.

As the wharf is closed to the general public for unloading, interested media representatives in Broome are asked to contact Paul McSweeney at the Broome Port Authority on 08 9192 1304 to arrange access.

WACA curator Richard Winter, who has overseen the Transportable Cricket Wicket Project from inception, has accompanied the pitch on it's journey and will be available for interviews on arrival.

The pitch will be trucked to Male Oval to continue preparations for Western Warriors limited overs clashes against the Victoria Bushrangers (Saturday, September 23) and Natal (Sunday, September 24).

"The Kimberley" left Fremantle for Broome on Saturday, July 15 after it's scheduled Friday departure was delayed due to bad weather.
