Ra'anana 2 qualify for upper Division 2 play-off group with win in Dimona

The group stage of the Division 2 league was completed over the weekend with Ra'anana 2 ensuring their place in the upper group of six teams with a nine wicket win over Dimona C in Dimona on Friday. Charlton Book (82*) and Rafi Schachat (51*) both were in good form as Ra'anana made light work of the 192-run target. With the teams now carrying their points forward, Be'er Sheva and Kiryat Gat are in poll positions having won their preliminary groups, with Tel Aviv, Lod, Lions Be'er Sheva and Ra'anana completing the upper group. Each team now plays a further three matches against the teams from the alternative group. Dimona C, Dimona A, Eilat and Petah Tikva will compete in the lower group.

In two southern group Division 2 T20 matches played over the weekend, Be'er Sheva A defeated Dimona C by 16 runs in Dimona on Saturday, whilst in Be'er Sheva, Lions Be'er Sheva beat Dimona A by six wickets, Norman Sankar scoring 46* as the hosts reached their 110-run target in 14 overs. Kiryat Gat have already qualified for the final from the northern group.
