Ra'anana 1 became the first team to qualify for the Cup semi-finals, defeating Tel Aviv by 86 runs to complete the group stages undefeated. David Silver top scored with 59, and Gal Matz impressed with 30, as Ra'anana reached 193 for 6 in their 35 overs. Alan Moss marked his comeback match with the impressive figures of 3 for 29. Tel Aviv were always behind the required rate against disciplined bowling, with Silver (3 for 15) and Danny Brill (3 for 2) sharing the bulk of the wickets as Tel Aviv were all out for 107.
In the other Group A match, Neve Yonatan edged out Ra'anana 2 by 6 runs.
Lions Lod defeated city rivals Lod by 5 wickets in Group B, with Yefet Nagavkar scoring 52 as Lions comfortably chased the 109 posted by Lod, winning with 11 overs to spare.
The Negev derby game between Lions Be'er Sheva and Dimona A was an exciting tussle, edged by 3 wickets by Be'er Sheva. Robin Shapurkar (45) and Nir Dhokarkar (40*) ensured the win with 2 overs to spare, after Dimona had batted first and scored 197.
The Negev Academy were no match for Ashdod A in Ashdod, with the home side amassing 278 for 5 in their 35 overs. Menashe Wadhawker top scored with 78 and Romi Chaulkar contributed 48. In reply, the Academy scorecard resembled a poultry farm, as almost everybody scored a duck, with only Alex Ozer (40) showing any resistance. Michael Moses (5 for 17) and Hillel Awasker (3 for 6) were the destroyers for Ashdod.
