Rain delays start of play in Brisbane

Rain has delayed the start of play in the three-day tour match between New Zealand and the Queensland Academy of Sport at Allan Border Field.

Rain periods have been forecast throughout the day and there seems little chance of play before the scheduled lunch break.

The match is New Zealand's last before its first-class tour begins against Queensland at the Gabba next Thursday, with the first Test at the same ground from November 8.
