Division One
Mark Ramprakash reached his 40th first-class century for Surrey as they made useful progress on a rain-interrupted day against Worcestershire at Guildford. Ramprakash reached his latest hundred with a glance down the leg side after earlier adding 92 with Mark Butcher (46) before he was caught behind of Kabir Ali. Stewart Walters then chipped in with 30 before a long rain break. The players returned shortly before 6pm and Ramprakash carried his score to 142 until becoming Gareth Batty's third wicket of the innings. At the close Surrey were three runs short of their fourth batting point.
