Hyderabad are 138 for 1 against Mumbai, with half-centuries for Akshath Reddy and Hanuma Vihari.

Punjab are closing in on another win, against Saurashtra, that could push them as high as 24 points. Railways are in charge against Gujarat, whose openers batted out 35 overs to make 54/0.

Tamil Nadu 31-1 in 9 overs. Baba Aparajith on 25 with five boundaries, Arun Karthik on 6. Vidarbha are 123 for 3, after Maharashtra made 282. Odisha are 30/2 after having conceded a slim first-innings lead to Karnataka.

Right, that wraps up another day of Ranji action. The full scores from all matches are being updated here as we speak.

4.40pm Legspinner Amit Mishra takes three quick wickets, all lbw. Three wickets in less than four overs has pushed Baroda from 189 for 0 to 197 for 3.

Himachal also slipping a bit after a big opening stand. They are now 201 for 4, and Paras Dogra has a rare failure: he has centuries in his three previous matches.

4.30pm Wriddhiman Saha is unbeaten 80, as Bengal reach 180 for 5. Still a long way behind MP's total of 342.

Sagar Jogiyani is unbeaten on 72, but he needs more support from his Saurashtra team-mates. They are 96 ahead of Punjab. India U-19 bowler Sandeep Sharma has just completed his ten-for.

4.20pm Sharda Ugra: "Tamil Nadu have lost their first wicket. Abhinav Mukund caught at slip by a diving catch off Awana. Dhawan took the catch on the second attempt in the first over by Awana. They are now 0-1." That's Mukund's second duck in two innings.

3.55pm
Sharda Ugra:"And it is Vaibhav Rawal century - Delhi's team is standing along the boundary line and applauding warmly. Vaibhav Rawal: 100, 203b, 12x4, it came with a humble single off the legs. Delhi are 554-4 ." Not often you see a Delhi scorecard where Mithun Manhas has a duck, and everyone else in the top five as hit a hundred.

Delhi have declared (at last). 555-4, Bhatia not out 14 and Rawal 100 not out after 155 overs.

3.20pm CM Gautam dismissed

3.15pm 500 up for Delhi. Sharda:"TN have now spread out the field, 6-3 again six guys on the fence and Sharma makes room for Rangarajan and hits him inside-out over cover for four. Now he tries the reverse-sweep and doesn't make contact next ball, then makes room again outside leg stump and carves Rangarajan over covers."

3.05pm Services move to 218 for 7, with Rajat Paliwal moving on to an unbeaten 85.

Things getting interesting at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Karnataka 188 for 7 after Vinay Kumar is dismissed lbw to Deepak Behera for 4. Odisha need three wickets, Karnataka need 15 runs.

2.55pm Baroda are 125 for 0, against Haryana who made 295.

Some spectators at the Feroz Shah Kotla  ESPNcricinfo Ltd

Unmukt yesterday, Rawal today: Aushik Srinivas bowling round the wicket to a 6-3 leg-side field. With similar options against Malolan Rangarajan, Rawal pulled Rangarajan for four and two balls later, Mohit Sharma crossed over, stepped out and hit Rangarajan over mid on for six. There are three men on the boundar on the leg side at deep square leg, long leg and deep mid-on."

2.20pm Services take lead

There had been some doubt over whether Services would take the first-innings lead after slipping to 81 for 5 replying to Assam's 182. However, Rajat Paliwal, who has scores of 72, 52 and 104* this season, is now on an unbeaten 65 to guide Services past 200.

The off side was packed and Rawal pegged back."

1.35pm Railways take 190-run lead

Kushang Patel runs through the Railways tail to bowl them out for 307, but the lead is already 190. Gujarat facing a huge challenge, that too with more than half the match remaining.

Maharashtra strike twice against Vidarbha, removing Shiv Sunder Das and wicketkeeper Urvesh Patel. Vidarbha 27 for 2.

1.30pm Saurashtra implode

Siddarth Kaul, one of the few people I know who spells his first name exactly like I do, is running through Saurashtra's batting. He has taken four now, including Ravindra Jadeja for a duck. Saurashtra 73 for 4, still need 42 to make Punjab bat again.

1.25pm Bengal 62/3, Porel and Saha have been together for 96 minutes now.

12.35pm Virender Sehwag End?

Sharda Ugra: "The DDCA are planning to name one end at the Kotla after Virender Sehwag. They have a choice, which end is key - The Old Club House end which is the southern end of the ground or the Delhi Gate end which is the northern end of the ground. I prefer the Old Club House end because that is a really insignificant name. Delhi Gate is at least 400 years old so due respect must be shown. Though the words most Indian cricket fans do not want to read these days is: 'Virender Sehwag End'." What do you guys think?

12.15pm Baroda 37/0, trailing by 258 against Haryana.

Noon

Sharda Ugra with the Kotla update: "At lunch, Delhi are 383-3, having scored 96 in the first session, Tamil Nadu made the most of the new ball with the wickets of overnight centurion Unmukt Chand and Mithun Manhas for a duck. There is another century around the corner with Mohit Sharma batting on 90 and Vaibhav Raval on 32. Tamil Nadu were still trudging along with their less than express over-rates, sending down 33 overs in the morning's 150-minute opening session. Before lunch yesterday they had sent down 31 overs."

Bengal are 46 for 3 at lunch, chasing Madhya Pradesh's 342. Saurashtra are 35/0, still 80 behind after Punjab ended on 205. Railways are 225/5, 108 ahead of Gujarat.

11.45am Assam hit back

They may have been bowled out for 182, but Assam will be eyeing a first-innings lead after reducing Services to 83 for 5 after 30 overs. And the opener Pratik Desai has retired hurt.

Goa's Ravikant Shukla has missed out on a hundred, falling for 87 against Kerala. Goa still at a string 386 for 6.

Our reader Binu hopes Himachal's Rishi Dhawan is on the national selectors' minds: "3/99, 40, 5/77 3/80, 11, 2/78,3/77, 102*, 0/57 These are the figures of Rishi Dhawan of HP, and now 6/63! He is having some talent should consider for the big stage, so as Buwaneswar Kumar of UP."

11.40am

Jharkhand are bowled out for 236; the backbone of the innings was Saurabh Tiwary's century. Rishi Dhawan ends on 6 for 63.

11.30am Kotla update

Here's Sharda Ugra: "Mohit Sharma who has carved his way to 78 dropped by a diving gully off Yo Mahesh's bowling - it stayed in the hand and then popped out savage shot that was very well stopped by Abhinav Mukund at gully. Unperturbed, Sharma waded into another cut again. Delhi 363 for 3."

Meanwhile, Maharashtra have slipped to 277 for 8, with Shrikant Wagh getting his fourth wicket for Vidarbha.

In Bangalore, Karnataka were 84 for 1, Uthappa 41*, Satish 11* v Odisha.

11.25am Haryana end on 295

Baroda's Utkarsh Patel, who had two wickets in his only two previous first-class matches, has taken a five-for to dismiss Haryana for 295. Big day for Haryana's Rahul Dalal as well, as he has made his maiden first-class century before falling lbw for 104.

11.20am Punjab bowled out for 205

Uday Kaul unbeaten on 41, the first-innings lead is 115. Saurashtra's most successful bowler was Siddharth Trivedi, who ended with 5 for 64.

Madhya Pradesh's Devendra Bundela gets a memento for winning 100 Ranji caps. Also, notice a dapper Narendra Hirwani at the extreme left  MPCA

Meanwhile, Bengal have slipped to 23 for 3, replying to MP's 342.

11.10am Gujarat fight

Railways have lost three wickets in a hurry, including that of Sanjay Bangar for 61, to slip to 221 for 5. Still very comfortably placed, after bowling out Gujarat for 117.

11.05am Punjab cross 200

Uday Kaul has been in prime form this season, and the No. 5 is unbeaten on 38 as Punjab reach 201 for 9, the lead is 101. Will we have a result on day two itself in Mohali?

Our reader Bharath asks: "What Kind of pitch they are playing in Kotla... I hope It will be changed for a turning track 4th test between india vs english." Quite a flat one, as it was in the previous match against Baroda. And the fourth India v England Test is at Nagpur, not Delhi. In Mumbai, England haave reached 281 for 3, Cook dismissed for 122. Pietersen 130*.

11.00am

Sharda Ugra sums up the play so far at the Kotla: "Mahesh and Bala made the best use of the new ball and it was Balaji's wicket off Manhas that brought up a dream sight for the morning, when he had his stumps knocked over. Mohit Sharma has looked assured reaching his 50; and Vaibhav Raval, the new junior run machine from Delhi has settled in. Delhi 339 for 3."

10.55am Madhya Pradesh bowled out for 342

From 322 for 5, MP slide to 342 all out. The destroyer for Bengal was Shami Ahmed, who finished with 7 for 79, among the best figures of the season. And the wickets continue to fall even when Bengal start to bat. They are already 10 for 2 in the fourth over. And they are without their regular captain Manoj Tiwary, who is sidelined with a finger injury.

10.50am Both of Mumbai's centurions dismissed
Rohit Sharma falls for 112.

10.45am Our reader Vijay Kalyana says: "From Chinnaswamy, Karnataka 55 / 0 after 22. Pawan 25 & Uthappa 24." Thanks Vijay.

Services have lost two early wickets in the morning, but can Assam dislodge Yashpal Singh? He made an unbeaten 250 in the previous match, against Tripura.

Goa are 327 for 5 against Kerala, with Ravikant Shukla unbeaten on 80.

10.40am

Sharda Ugra clearly wants more spice in the Delhi track: "Delhi have crossed 300 a while back but excuse us for not noticing what is a routine happening at the Kotla in Ranji matches. Mohit Sharma has crossed fifty, flicked Balaji with a shot that deserved some embroidery over it (113b 9X4) and followed it up with a straight drive in the same over."

10.35am Hundred for Saurabh Tiwary

He may have made his name in the IPL, but Saurabh Tiwary has shown he can shelve the big shots and grind it out. He was unbeaten on a six-hour 65 yesterday. With the wickets tumbling at the other end today, he has hit six fours this morning to reach his century, off 304 deliveries. Himachal fast bowler Rishi Dhawan follows up his eight-for in the previous match against Andhra with 6 for 63 now.

10.30am No wickets at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, where Karnataka's openers KB Pawan and Robin Uthappa have pushed the score to 47 for 0.

Andhra are 163 for 5 after the in-form Amol Muzumdar was dismissed without adding to his overnight score of 60.

10.20am Wickets at Lahli and Nagpur

Haryana have lost two early on the second day. Baroda's Utkarsh Patel now has four wickets. Haryana now 251 for 7.

And Maharashtra have lost three. From an overnight 227 for 3, they had slid to 254 for 6. Debutant opener Virag Awate's innings ends on 126. The damage has been done by Shrikant Wagh, who had figures of 17-10-16-0 yesterday. He's got the wickets today to make those look even better. Now he has 22-13-19-3.

10.15am Punjab wobble

Siddharth Trivedi, who has made a career out of bowling slower ones for Rajasthan Royals, has taken two wickets in two balls, which leaves Punjab at 160 for 7. Can Saurashtra still get something from this game after having been bowled out for 90? Also, Ravindra Jadeja hasn't yet bowled in the innings.

10.10am Bengal hit back

Shami Ahmed has struck twice early on the second morning against Madhya Pradesh, with both overnight batsmen Rameez Khan and allrounder Jalaj Saxena dismissed. MP 337 for 7.

10.00am Sharda Ugra has fortified herself with coffee at the Kotla. "Unmukt Chand has fallen early on the second morning, caught behind off Yo Mahesh. Chand made 138. And soon after Mithun Manhas departs, bowled middle stump for a duck. In six overs Tamil Nadu have taken more wickets than they did all day."

Some joy for Hyderabad, finally. Mumbai's Hiken Shah has been dismissed for 156. Rohit Sharma still there on 112, can he make it a double? Mumbai 339 for 3.

9.30am Greetings Ranji fans. Nice to have you on the blog though they are four Tests going on today. Group A games had dramatic first days, with Punjab, Railways, Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh all dominating. Group B was a less action-packed, though Delhi's batsmen have put on plenty, and Karnataka bowled out Odisha early. In Group C, Andhra have taken charge against J&K, and Services bowled out Assam for 182.
