Rayner, 22, enjoyed a reasonably successful season with Sussex whose star legspinner, Mushtaq Ahmed, has now retired. Rayner was Sussex's third-leading wicket taker in the Championship with 31 at 33.61.
"We're delighted that Ollie has agreed to see his immediate future with us after such a promising season," Mark Robinson, Sussex's cricket manager, said. "Ollie's one of our own and now has the opportunity to further cement his place in the team."
