Senior training squad named for 2013-14 World Cup Qualifiers

Following good performances over the past season, both domestically and internationally, the National Selectors have named a senior training squad of 30 players who will be invited to train with the National Coach, Charlie Burke, over the next two months.

Following good performances over the past season, both domestically and internationally, the National Selectors have named a senior training squad of 30 players who will be invited to train with the National Coach, Charlie Burke, over the next two months before being trimmed down on 1st July 2013 to form the National Squad for the 2013-14 season.

"It is a huge 9 months for Hong Kong cricket as we embark on two World Cup Qualifiers - the T20s Dubai in November and the One-Day World Cup in New Zealand in January. The squad will focus on the T20s in November first but we'll also have a keen eye on developing the squad for the ICC World Cup Qualifiers in January 2014," said Burke.

"Training will start next week and I expect to see all the players show the commitment and attitude required to take the team through to contention for a spot in both World Cups," he added.
