Seventh heaven for Liverpool?

This weekend's FA Cup Final should be a tasty affair. Although Liverpool are favourites, the old cliché about "anything can happen in a final" still holds true

LIverpool favourites
Liverpool are the obvious favourites to win their seventh FA Cup. Sporting Index has priced them up as winners by a margin of 0.8 to 1 goals.

Xabi Alonso is expected to be back in the starting line-up after injury, with Peter Crouch and Djibril Cisse or Fernando Morientes up front as Luis Garcia is suspended and Robbie Fowler cup-tied.

Liverpool have beaten West Ham in both Premiership meetings this season, but you can't read too much in to the latest result given that they didn't exactly field their first team.

West Ham go in to the final on a bit of a high, having beaten Spurs at the weekend.

Carl Fletcher looks set to start in midfield as Hayden Mullins is suspende. Dean Ashton should be fit enough to start, but things look less sure for Matthew Etherington.

Generally, these are clean teams so don't expect too many bookings - Sporting Index have got four yellow cards on their "Bookings" market. Referee Alan Wiley has probably pushed the price up a little here as he does like reaching in to his pocket.

Don't expect too many goals either. In the last four years the losing team has not scored a single goal. West Ham have one goal to Liverpool's four in their league meetings this year, and Sporting Index have set the "Total Goals" spread at 2.2 to 2.4.
