Shane Warne joins Channel Nine

Shane Warne, who is banned from playing cricket until next February after failing a drugs test prior to the World Cup, has joined the Channel Nine commentary team for next month's series against Bangladesh.

It will be Warne's first commentary role since he flew home from South Africa on the very day that Australia opened their defence of the World Cup. But it will be a limited stint, as Channel Nine are not offering full coverage of the series, which promises to be a disturbingly one-sided affair

The first Test will be played in Darwin and begins on July 18.
