Shane Watson profile

He commenced his cricket with Brothers in Ipswich but now plays with Eastern Suburbs in the Brisbane grade competition. He represented Queensland Under 17 in 1996-97 and in the following three years appeared for Queensland Under 19, being captain for the series of 1999-00 played in Perth. He has also represented Queensland Secondary Schools in the annual match against New South Wales Secondary Schools.

In 1993 he was a member of the Queensland Primary Schools team for the inter state championships played in Darwin. He represented South East Zone in various age groups in the Queensland Junior Cricket Association's intra state competitions. He was educated at St Marys Primary School, Ipswich and at Ipswich Grammar School.
