Shoulder injury puts Tiwary out of action

Bengal batsman Manoj Tiwary will be out of action for a few weeks after suffering a shoulder injury during the Bengal-Delhi semi-final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Vishakhapatnam on Saturday. Currently, Tiwary is at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore to decide on a rehabilitation programme in consultation with the NCA coaches.
"No one likes to be out of action and it's really frustrating to get injured. Hopefully I will recover in time," Tiwary told PTI. When asked to describe the nature of his injury, he said it wasn't a dislocated shoulder but there may be some tissue damage.
Tiwary had missed the ODIs against Pakistan and England late last year after suffering from a side strain. He made a comeback to competitive cricket in the Irani Cup against Mumbai in February and followed it up with a century for India A against Australia in a tour game in Chennai.
