Carl Simon, the medium pacer, led Leeward Islands to a comprehensive 130-run victory against Windward Islands in the eighth round of the Carib Beer series in Grenada. Simon was the main destroyer with 5 for 48, including the wicket of Alvin La Fuille, who top-scored with 70, and ended with match figures of 8 for 102. Windwards was under pressure on 113 for 5 with the opening pair of Adam Sanford and Kerry Jeremy running through the top-order. La Fuille combined with Darren Sammy to add 57 for the third wicket before Sammy was dismissed on 34. Windwards then lost their last eight wickets for just 113 and were knocked out for 193. Sanford finished with 3 for 45 and Jeremy grabbed 2 for 41.

Trinidad and Tobago won their second consecutive match when they defeated Jamaica by 70 runs at Shaw Park in Tobago. Set an improbable target of 360, Jamaica was dismissed for 289 with Carlton Baugh's hundred being the only consolation. Baugh's knock of 152 included 12 fours and six sixes and he put together a crucial partnership with Donavon Pagon, who made 76, before adding 48 for the ninth wicket with Jerome Taylor. Dave Mohammed, back in the squad, was the pick of the bowlers from both sides with 4 for 55 in the innings and ended with match figures of 8 for 121. T&T's win took them to 48 points and enhanced their chances of qualifying for the finals.

Rain on the first two days of Guyana's home game meant that they had to contend with first-innings points in a drawn encounter against Barbados at Georgetown. Mahendra Nagamootoo, the legspinner, claimed a five-wicket haul in the first innings, and give Guyana a good chance of qualifying for the finals. Resuming on their overnight score of 367 for 7, Guyana declared on 401 for 7 after Narsingh Deonarine reached his first century of the season. In response to the massive score, Barbados were bowled out for 225 in their first innings, with Ryan Hinds top-scoring with 111. Barbados' second innings followed the same pattern as they lost two early wickets for 13 before Dwayne Smith entertained the crowd with a cracking 93.

Barbados were on 150 for 5 when the captains decided to call off play and Ryan Hinds pocketed the Man-of-the-Match award for his allround performance. Guyana, after securing six points from this game, moved to fourth position in the table while Barbados were right at the bottom.
