Somerset Women's Under 17 team enjoyed a fine start to their season when they recorded a comfortable 57 victory over Berkshire at Compton Cricket Club last weekend.
Batting first Somerset scored 206 for 7 wickets, with Colleen Ashbec, who came in at number three,top scoring with a fine unbeaten 88, Katherine Feather making 20 and Lisa Pagett 19.
In reply Berkshire were dismissed for 148, with Lisa Pagett being the pick of the visitors bowlers taking 3 for 33 from her 9 overs, whilst there were two wickets each for Annie Riccio and Colleen Ashbec.
Somerset take 29.5 points from this win, compared to 7 points for Berkshire.
