South Africa batting to prevail at 9/2
In the most eagerly anticipated series for some time, South Africa's batting should prove the stronger and a 2-1 series victory is a strong bet a 9/2. Australia will not be able to make enough runs to be competitive.
The series has been billed as the battle of the bowlers with Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel and Veron Philander going up against Mitchell Johnson, Ryan Harris and Peter Siddle. It could be a low-scoring affair but South Africa have the more confident batting line up and are a better fancy to put solid scores on the board.
However, history is against South Africa. Despite winning their last two series down under they haven't beaten Australia at home since readmission. Their reputation for choking is also liable to see them slip up in one of the three Tests.
