South Australian selectors have sprung few surprises in the naming of the Second XI side which will meet the Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy in an ACB Cup match in Adelaide later this month.
Likely to be captained by talented wicketkeeper-batsman Shane Deitz, the twelve-strong team contains three changes from the one which played a practice game against a visiting Northern Territory side earlier this month. The new inclusions, for the match at the Adelaide Oval from October 16-19, are youngster Ryan Bulger, all-rounder and former Bradman Medallist Adam Polkinghorn and ex-Queensland paceman Mick Miller. Contracted state players Luke Williams and Mark Harrity will not be available to the Second XI team for this match and accordingly join medium pacer Matthew Weekes as the players to have been replaced.
South Australia Second XI: J Borgas, D Harris, S Deitz, B Higgins, W Thomas, B Cameron, M Smith, A Polkinghorn, M Miller, A Crook, R Bulge, S Maraun.
