Sri Lanka Cricket - Appointments

Sri Lanka Cricket is pleased to inform of the following appointments

Mr. Michael Tissera , has been appointed as Manager for the Sri Lanka "A" Team

Mr. Stan Nell has been appointed on a two-year contract as the coach to the Sri Lanka "A" Team from 1st June 2004. Stan has been the Head Coach for Victorian Cricket Center, Monash University, Melbourne from September 2002. He has delivered coaching programs within the VCC and Monash University, and also prepared budgeting and budget forecasting on a yearly basis for all cricket activities within VCC and Monash University, and Managed Cricket Operations at VCC such as high performance programs in conjunction with Cricket Victoria, Victorian Institute of Sports (VIS).

He has also been the Head Coach for Hawthorn, Monash University Cricket Club from May 2003 until his appointment with Sri Lanka Cricket. He has also coached Hawthorn, Waverley Cricket Club from 2000-2001, Assistant Coach/ Selector / Captain of the 2nd XI - North Melbourne Cricket Club from 1999-2000, Coach of Greg Chappell Cricket Center, Melbourne from 1998-2001. Stan has been a member of the Victorian Cricket Coaches Association (Level 2 Cricket Australia and Australian Sports Commission Accreditation), and member of the ICC High Performance Elite Coaching Panel.
