Sri Lanka Cricket host farewell to Bandula Warnapura

Sri Lanka Cricket hosted a farewell to appreciate the services and say goodbye to three of its senior employee's Mr. Bandula Warnapura, Mr. Sudath Pasqual and Mr. Senarath Ekanayake on 13th June 2008 at SLC headquarters. Speaking at the occasion CE Mr. Duleep Mendis said "although it's a very sad day for SLC all three are leaving overseas to better their prospects and we should wish them success in their new assignments. He also praised the hard work done by them to improve the standard of SLC. He thanked Mr. Bandula Warnapura for setting-up the coaching academy and infra-structure at SLC to develop cricket in both club and school level. Mr. Warnapura had special thanks for the Chairman Mr. Arjuna Ranatunga who was instrumental to secure his new assignment which he considers a great opportunity to better his future in the cricketing world. He thanked SLC staff for supporting him during the past eight years and especially the CE Mr. Duleep Mendis for trusting his ability and giving all encouragement needed to take his vision forward. Mr. Sudath Pasqual bid farewell to SLC with an emotional speech thanking all SLC staff and wishing the management all success for the future. Mr. Senarath Ekanayake thanked the management and staff for supporting him during his stay with SLC.

Mr. Warnapura served SLC in the capacity of Director Cricket Operations for 8 years, joined ACC in the capacity of Manager Cricket Development.

Mr. Pasqual served SLC in the capacity of Manager Tournament/Provincial/Women's Cricket for 5 year Migrates to Canada to further his Education and continue his involvement in cricket.

Mr. Ekanayake served SLC for 8 years in the capacity of Assistant Manager Finance and leave overseas to continue his career in Finance.
