Pakistan meet Sri Lanka in the `curtain raiser` in Singapore

Pakistan will meet Sri Lanka in the `curtain raiser of the Triangular International Cricket series to be played in Singapore on April 1 next year.

The tournament will be worked on a league basis with the two top teams meeting in the final on April 7. Sri lanka`s second league match will be against India on April 3. The last league match between India and Pakistan is scheduled for April 5.

Sri Lanka confirms 1998 Zimbabwe tour

Sri Lanka has confirled that they will host Zimbabwe in early 1998 for the first time since gaining Test status.

Sri Lanka has toured Zimbabwe once, but the latter has never played Tests here. On their maiden Test tour of Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe will play three Tests and an equal number of one day internationals. Also in 1998, Sri Lanka will host Pakistan for a similar tour after their One-off Test against England in Lord`s in August.
