- Badulla District knock-out cricket tournament finals, organised by
the Badulla District Cricket Association will be played on June 7 at
the Badulla Esplanade.
The two finalists are Badulla Maroons Sports Club 'A' and Badulla Cricket Club. A keen competition is expected at this finals with the cream of cricketers in Badulla will be in action on this day. Twenty teams participated in this tournament and the winners of this finals will receive "Ramesh Mohammed" Memorial Trophy.
- The cricket encounter between St. John's College, Jaffna (Colombo Branch) OBA and the Combined Northern Province Schools team, scheduled to be played on Saturday at the Colts Grounds as part of their 175th year celebrations, has been put off for June 21 due to prevailing weather conditions. The venue remains unchanged.
- Badulla League Limited Over cricket tournament organised by the Badulla District Cricket Association will commence on Saturday (6) at the Badulla Esplanade. The tournament committee of the BDCA has divided the 19 teams into two divisions.
Maroons Sports Club 'A', Sri Lanka Air Force, Diyatalawa, Veal's Park Sports Club 'A', Old Uvites Sports Club, Badulla Cricket Club, Pihillakade Cricket Club and Saraa Sports Club will play in 'A' division tournaments in two groups. The winners and runners-up in each group will play cross-wise in the semi-finals to qualify for the finals. The winners and runners-up of each group will play cross-wise in the semi-finals to decide the finalists.
