Srinivasan re-elected TNCA president
N Srinivasan was unanimously re-elected as Tamil Nadu Cricket Association president on Friday for the 14th year in succession

N Srinivasan has been unanimously re-elected as the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association's president for the 14th year in succession. Srinivisan, who is also the ICC chairman, did not face opposition during the TNCA's 85th annual general meeting, held in Chennai. Kasi Viswanathan, Srinivasan's key aide, was also re-elected unanimously as secretary for the ninth year in succession.
Despite not being allowed to contest the BCCI presidential election by the Supreme Court, Srinivasan's position as the TNCA chief has not been questioned.
Srinivasan has been heading the TNCA since 2002-03 when he toppled his cricket-administration-mentor-turned-bitter-rival AC Muthiah in the race for presidency.
In the four years preceding 2002-03, Srinivasan was a vice-president with Muthiah heading the association. Viswanathan was elevated from the post of assistant secretary to secretary in 2007-08, displacing CR Vijayaraghavan. Since then, the India Cements heads have been controlling one of the oldest cricket associations in India.
