Statements Made by Muttiah Muralitharan

Sri Lanka Cricket was perturbed by Statements attributed to Mr. Muttiah Muralitharan in the Media in the recent past.

Mr. Muralitharan is a contracted player with Sri Lanka Cricket and as such, making statements to the Media without first having obtained the requisite permission is a violation of the said contract. Sri Lanka Cricket has called for his explanation in this regard.
