Taibu, who has been replaced by Tino Mawoyo in the 13-member squad, withdrew from the squad when they returned home from their first four matches in South Africa. Initially, Taibu was suppose to play all of Zimbabwe's matches in the Standard Bank Pro20 but all players taking part in the IPL were told to be in India by April 11 except those playing international cricket.

Zimbabwe have lost three of their four matches and are at the bottom of table with almost no chance of making it into the semi-finals. They take on the Cobras in Cape Town and the Titans in Centurion in their last two matches.

The other change to the squad that returns to South Africa this week sees Steven Nyamuzinga, who was drafted in as a late replacement for Regis Chakabva, being replaced by legspinner Graeme Cremer.
