Taufeeq in squad for third one-dayer

Taufeeq Umar has been included in Pakistan's squad for the third one-day international against India. Rao Iftikhar Anjum and Misbah-ul-Haq were dropped from the squad without having played a game in the five-match series.

Taufeeq batted himself into contention in a recent warm-up game with a stunning century that helped his team achieve a victory target of 336 against the Indians. While his Test form has been impressive - 1518 runs in 19 matches at an average of 46 - his one-day record is average. In 17 games he has scored only 426 runs. "Taufeeq has been included because he is in fine form these days," Wasim Bari, the chief selector, told reporters.

The third one-dayer will be played in Peshawar on Friday, March 19.
