The touring Romany Club from England have just completed a great tour of Argentina, playing five games, winning three and losing two. They defeated an ACA President's XI, a St.George's College Invitation XI and Lomas CC, and lost to Hurlingham CC and Belgrano CC. They stated that they had a wonderful trip, plan to return in the future, and were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the local players. They leave for Brazil tomorrow for two games. Romany are a touring nomads invitation side who undertake tours all over the world.

With one round still to be played, St.Alban's Old Boys CC have clinched the ACA First Division for the second successive year.

In a new expanded league, played over nine rounds with the other three participating clubs, Lomas, Hurlingham and Belgrano, St.Alban's have won seven of their eight games played thus far, and have an unassailable lead. The other premier competition, the Robin Stuart Shield, also sports a new hopefully improved format, with one round of fixtures, with the top two sides playing a "cup"final. After the first round, St.Alban's and Begrano top the table with victories over Hurlingham and Lomas respectively.
