It's an ongoing saga that has racked Sri Lankan cricket. Not long ago, Sanath Jayasuriya retired from Test cricket so that he could focus on one-day cricket until the World Cup. Then, as the line-up of selectors changed, it was revealed that Jayasuriya's hand had been forced, and that he now wanted to come back into the Test side. The new chairman of selectors agreed, and Jayasuriya duly made his way to England to join the touring Sri Lankans.
