Kolkata Knight Riders put down M Vijay as many as three times during his innings of 28. A jumping Gautam Gambhir could not hold on to an airy drive at short extra cover off Andre Russell. Three balls after Umesh had denied him, Narine took his unreliable fielders out of the equation to finally get his man. Vijay had been relying on the sweep but went too far across this time in trying to sweep an offbreak. The ball bounced and spun past the batsman to hit leg stump.
