The wet Spring weather has claimed its first victim of the 2001 cricket season with news of the cancellation of Glamorgan's pre-season friendly against the Cardiff/UWIC/Glam University UCCE team scheduled for April 10th at Sophia Gardens.

Another change has taken place regarding the opponents for the match scheduled on April 12th, with Gloucestershire replacing Surrey as the Welsh county's opponents.
