Andhra Pradesh who were at 214 for 8 overnight, declared their first innings. Tripura replied with 167 for 8 in 63.4 overs. Rasudeb Dutta with 38 was the top scorer. Though the top order chipped in with usefull contributions, Shankar Rao (4 for 28) and Mohd Faiq (4 for 51) ran through the side. Andhra in their second innings got to face 30 overs in which they scored 222 while losing eight wickets in the process. J Debnath (3 for 58) and T Shah (2 for 77) were the chief wicket takers for Tripura.
