Trojans without key duo for visit of Alton

Trojans are without key duo Jamie Donaldson and Mario Mohamed for tomorrow's top of the table Southern Electric Premier League, Division 3 clash against Alton at the Jubilee Sports Ground, 1pm.

The pair open the bowling and batting, respectively for Trojans, who lead Alton by a solitary point at the top. Both clubs are undefeated.

Promising Hampshire YC's all-rounder David Wheeler plays his last match of the season tomorrow before undergoing surgery on his injured back in a London hospital next week.

Wheeler, who is suffering from a fractured spine, spent the whole of last season helping the Hampshire Academy team win promotion into Premier 1.

But in the weeks leading up to his operation Wheeler has been `loaned back' to New Milton as a batsman.

Wheeler's farewell is the derby against Bashley (Rydal) II at Fernhill - a match New Milton must win if they are to continue to climb the Division 3 table.

Ian Hilsum, who has been released from Academy duty, is expected to play for third-placed Ventnor against Portsmouth II at Steephill.

Rowledge face a stiff test at Havant II - who include first team left-arm spinner Phil Loat - while Paultons warm up for Sunday's National Village Championship county final at Easton & Martyr Worthy with a home match against Southsea.

At the bottom of the table, Flamingo face a critical test against fellow strugglers Hambledon at Ridge Meadow.
