Umpires Basic Course Examination Results

Consequent to the 8-day Umpires Basic Course held from 29th July at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, an examination for the new entry was conducted on August 6, 2001. The examination, comprising written and oral parts, required the successful candidates to obtain 75% as pass marks both in written and oral examinations separately. In addition, credits were added to their total score for education, First Class or Test/ODI played, personality, spoken English and for being previously on PCB Panel of Umpires. Oral examination was conducted by:
Mr. Mahboob Shah,
Mr. Khalid Aziz,
Mr. Khizer Hayat and Mr. Said Shah. (All former international umpires.)
On the basis of the above, the names of ten successful candidates are given below in order of merit:
