Michael Vaughan has been ruled out of England's next two CB Series matches as he is still to recover from the hamstring injury which forced him out of yesterday's match against Australia in Brisbane.
Vaughan suffered a grade-one tear in England's three-wicket win over New Zealand in Hobart on Tuesday and was replaced by debutant Mal Loye, who scored a run-a-ball 36.
The team management released a statement today announcing that Vaughan would miss both matches at Adelaide next week but could be available for the game against New Zealand at Perth on January 30.
England face New Zealand on January 23 and Australia three days later at the Adelaide Oval. Andrew Flintoff will continue to lead the side in Vaughan's absence.
