The ODI squad will be picked after the third Test in Perth, said Ratnakar Shetty, the chief administrative officer of the Indian board.

"Both these appointments were done at the BCCI's Working Committee when it met in Mumbai [on December 16]," Shetty told PTI. "Chauhan will return after the end of the Test series."

India lost the first Test in Melbourne by 337 runs. They are scheduled to play three more Tests - between January 2 and January 28 - before the triangular one-day series against Sri Lanka and Australia in February-March.
