The nominees for the 2016 T20 XI have been put in the following categories: batsmen, wicketkeepers and allrounders/bowlers. In each of these categories, the following would make it to a Readers' 2016 T20 XI based on voting: the top four from among batsmen and wicketkeepers (with at least one player among wicketkeepers) and the top five from allrounders/bowlers. The 10th and 11th spots in the 2016 T20 XI would go to the players with the highest votes outside the above picks in any of the categories.
