Five for VRV after five-year break
Haryana v Punjab, Rohtak
VRV Singh, playing his first first-class match in over five years, took what was his third consecutive five-wicket haul in first-class cricket. VRV has taken 31 wickets, including five five-fors, in his last four matches at 14.9. Sandeep Sharma also took six wickets for Punjab in Haryana's second innings - his fifth five-wicket haul in first-class matches. Sandeep has taken 67 wickets at 20.41 from 15 matches. Gurukeerat Singh's 51 in Punjab's first innings was his first fifty in five first-class matches. He has scored 180 runs from six innings at an average of 30.0.

Jaffer's 50th first-class hundred
Mumbai v Vidarbha, Mumbai
Wasim Jaffer hit the 50th first-class hundred of his career and the second of this Ranji season, in Mumbai first innings. He is the eighth India batsman after Sunil Gavaskar (81), Sachin Tendulkar (81), Rahul Dravid (68), Vijay Hazare (60), Dilip Vengsarkar (55), VVS Laxman (55) and Mohammad Azharuddin (54) to hit fifty or more first-class centuries. Jaffer leads the list of batsmen with most hundreds in the Ranji Trophy with 34 centuries. There were centuries hit in Mumbai's second innings also, from Aditya Tare and Ajinkya Rahane. Tare's 172 was his second hundred of the season and the fourth of his first-class career. This was Rahane's 20th first-class hundred and he is closing in on 6000 first-class runs: he has scored 5825 at 60.05. Mumbai's Shardul Thakur, who was playing his fifth first-class match, took 4 for 48 in Vidarbha's second innings - his best bowling figures in first-class cricket. His match returns of 7 for 88 were also his best in a match in first-class cricket.

Yusuf's first first-class ton since 2010
Baroda v Madhya Pradesh, Vadodra
Yusuf Pathan top-scored with his eighth first-class hundred on a Vadodra pitch on which 35 wickets fell in just two days' play. This was Yusuf's first first-class hundred since 2010, in 19 innings. Yusuf completed 3000 first-class runs during his century. He has hit 3087 first-class runs at 39.07. Yusuf also contributed with the ball taking seven wickets in the match. Madhya Pradesh's Jalaj Saxena took 7 for 82 in Baroda's second innings, which were his best figures in first-class cricket. Jalaj claimed 13 in the match, the most he has taken in a first-class game. Jalaj's haul of 13 for 124 was the fourth-best figures by a Madhya Pradesh bowler in the Ranji Trophy. Bhargav Bhatt 's five-for in Madhya Pradesh's second innings was his eighth in first-class cricket. Baroda's Ketul Patel, who was playing his fourth first-class match, took 4 for 9 in Madhya Pradesh's first innings, his best first-class bowling figures. His match haul of 6 for 24 was also his best in a first-class match.

Abhinav and Pujara hit doubles
Tamil Nadu v Saurashtra, Chennai
Abhinav Mukund's 240 was his sixth score of 200 or more in the Ranji Trophy - the most by a Tamil Nadu batsman. WV Raman is the next Tamil Nadu batsman in the list with five scores of 200-plus. Abhinav has hit 19 first-class hundreds and has scored 5919 runs at 51.46. Dinesh Karthik also hit a century, his 19th first-class hundred, in this match. Jaydev Shah hit 195 in this match, which was his sixth first-class hundred and his highest score. Jaydev also completed 3500 first-class runs during his innings. Cheteshwar Pujara's double-century in this match was his fifth in the Ranji Trophy and his ninth score of 200 or more in first-class cricket. Among India batsmen, only Vijay Merchant (11), Vijay Hazare (10), Sunil Gavaskar (10) and Rahul Dravid (10) have hit more scores of 200-plus in first-class cricket. This was Pujara's fourth 200-plus score in 2013. He has scored 1883 first-class runs at 104.6, including seven hundreds, in 2013. Pujara went past Ravindra Jadeja (4) as the batsman to hit most 200-plus scores for Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy. Saurashtra's wicketkeeper Sagar Jogiyani took five catches in Tamil Nadu's innings - this was the fourth time he has taken five catches in an innings in his first-class career.

Parthiv's 20th hundred
Jharkhand v Gujarat, Jamshedpur
Saurabh Tiwary completed 3000 runs in first-class cricket during his 91 in the first innings. He followed it up with another unbeaten 50 in the second innings, his sixth half-century in four matches. He has scored 485 runs at 69.3 this Ranji season. Jasprit Bumrah took his second five-for in two matches, in Jharkhand's first innings. His bowling figures of 8 for 106 in this match were the best of his career, beating the 8 for 115 he took against Punjab in the last match. Parthiv Patel's 189 was his 20th century in first-class cricket; he has scored 7838 runs at 43.78 in 136 matches.

Rishi Dhawan's record fifth five-for
Himachal Pradesh v Assam, Dharmasala
Rishi Dhawan set a record in this match for taking the most five-wicket hauls in a Ranji season by a Himachal Pradesh bowler. Including the two five-wicket hauls in this match, Rishi has taken five five-fors this season. He is the leading wicket-taker in the Ranji Trophy this season so far with 39 wickets, at 14.8. Overall, Rishi has taken 11 five-wicket hauls in Ranji cricket for Himachal, the third-highest by a Himachal bowler in the competition. Bipul Sharma's 102 in Himachal's first innings was his highest score in first-class matches and the second century of his career. Himachal's Nikhil Gangta missed his maiden first-class century by one run - this was his highest first-class score and his first fifty-plus score in three first-class matches.

Mithun's best in first-class cricket
Orissa v Karnataka, Cuttack
Abhimanyu Mithun followed up his six wickets in Odisha's first innings with another five in the second innings. His bowling figures of 11 for 110 in the match were his best in first-class cricket. He also completed 150 wickets in first-class cricket - he has taken 156 wickets, including seven five-wicket hauls, at 28.78 from 44 matches. HS Sharath also took a five-wicket haul in Odisha's second innings, which was the second five-for of his career. Sharath has taken 34 wickets at 28.67 from ten matches. Manish Pandey's 132 in the first innings was his 11th first-class hundred. He has scored 3618 runs at 54.81 from 49 matches. Biplab Samantray also hit a hundred, for Odisha, in this match. He has scored 1495 at 31.80 from 31 matches, including three centuries.

Adil Rishi scores J&K's highest at No. 1
Jammu and Kashmir v Kerala, Jammu
This was Adil Rishi's maiden century in first-class cricket, in 14 matches. His 153 was Jammu and Kashmir's highest score at No. 1 in the Ranji Trophy. VA Jagadeesh's 106 in Kerala's first innings was the seventh hundred of his first-class career. Jagadeesh also completed 2500 first-class runs during his century; he has scored 2504 runs at 37.37 from 72 innings. Pervez Rasool also hit a century in the second innings, his fourth in first-class cricket. Jammu and Kashmir wicketkeeper Obaid Haroon took five catches in Kerala's first innings, the first time he has collected five dismissals in his first-class career, from eight matches. Mohammed Mudhasir helped Jammu and Kashmir register a win against Kerala with his maiden five-wicket haul in the second innings. Mudhasir was playing his tenth first-class match and has taken 27 wickets at 28.62

Lahiri's best with the bat

Arindam Das hit the second century of this Ranji season and the tenth of his first-class career, in Bengal's first innings. Saurasish Lahiri's 108 in Bengal's first innings was his highest score in first-class cricket and only his second hundred in 88 matches. Vishnu Tiwari's 71 in Services' first innings was his highest score in first-class matches and his first fifty in six first-class matches.

3000 for Kedar Jadhav
Andhra v Maharashtra, Cuddapah
Kedar Jadhav hit his third century of this Ranji season in Maharashtra's first innings. During his innings, Kedar also completed 3000 first-class runs. He has scored 613 runs from four matches in this Ranji Trophy at 153.25, including three hundreds and one fifty. Paidikalva Vijaykumar's haul of 6 for 83 in Maharashtra's first innings was the seventh five-wicket haul in his first-class career and his second of this Ranji season. He has taken 19 wickets in this season at 18.63. Rajesh Bishnoi completed 1000 first-class runs during his half-century in Rajasthan's second innings in this match.

Gadekar's maiden five-for
Goa v Tripura, Porvorim Amogh Desai hit the third hundred of his first-class career in Goa's first innings. He has scored 753 runs at 40.65 from 11 first-class matches. Rana Dutta of Tripura took the second five-wicket haul of his first-class career, in Goa's first innings. The 5 for 55 he took in Goa's first innings was his best bowling figures in first-class cricket and his figures of 7 for 105 for the match were also his best. Harshad Gadekar took his maiden five-wicket haul in Tripura's second innings to help Goa win the match. Sanjay Majumder's wicket in Tripura's second innings was Gadekar's 50th wicket in first-class cricket. Gadekar has now taken 51 wickets at 30.11.

Newcomer Amit Mishra takes seven
Rajasthan v Uttar Pradesh, Jaipur
Uttar Pradesh's Amit Mishra, playing his debut Ranji season, took 7 for 59 in Rajasthan's first innings. This was his first five-wicket haul and his best bowling figures, in his second first-class match. Prashant Gupta hit his maiden hundred in UP's second innings. Prashant has hit 548 runs at 39.14 from 14 first-class innings. Siddharth Saraf's 56 in Rajasthan's first innings was his highest score in first-class and his second fifty in three matches.
