WACA chief meets with Matthew Nicholson

WESTERN Australian Cricket Association Chief Executive Mrs Kath White and Western Warriors player Matthew Nicholson today held discussions following speculation last weekend concerning the player's future.

WACA General Manager for High Performance Mr Rob Langer also attended the meeting.

"We had good discussions with Matthew," said Mrs White.

"It's been a frustrating year for Matt with his injury and illness and he now wants to get on with playing cricket in an attempt to force his way back into the Western Warriors team.

"It's very competitive to get into the Warriors team at the moment and Matt's injury and illness has not helped his opportunities to press for regular selection."

Mrs White said that matters discussed in talks with Nicholson would remain in house.

She said no further comment will be made by WACA management on the matter
