Shane Warne will be part of a series of high-profile match-ups in Victoria's ING Cup match against Western Australia at the Junction Oval on Saturday. Warne will line-up on his club home ground at St Kilda opposite long-term Australia team-mates Adam Gilchrist, Justin Langer and Damien Martyn in preparation for the first Test against West Indies on Thursday.
"Shane's availability for the match is obviously good news for us from an on-field perspective and for the fans," Greg Shipperd, the Victoria coach, said. "He's in outstanding form, is really enthusiastic about his cricket and will no doubt play a major role in deciding the outcome of the match."
Shane Harwood, the fast bowler, has recovered from the groin strain he suffered in the Pura Cup match against Western Australia last week while Peter Siddle and Allan Wise have been dropped.
