Everton kick things off on Saturday, playing host to an Aston Villa side that have not looked too hot in recent games; they create plenty of chances but struggle to convert. In light of this, Sporting Index are predicting a home win by a one goal margin. Later on Saturday, they think things will be tighter between Birmingham and Spurs at St Andrew's.

The bookies favour Spurs to just edge this one in a close contest, and with Uriah Rennie officiating, they're not predicting many cards.

At Sunday lunchtime attention turns to St James' Park, where the Magpies face a resurgent Liverpool. After their recent poor show against Man Utd, their weak defence looks set to be tested once again and the bookies have priced up a Liverpool win.

The visitors may choose to rest Fowler, with one eye on next week's Cup match. Ref Mike Riley could have a busy afternoon though, Sporting predicting between four and five yellow cards.

Finally, the west London derby between Fulham and Chelsea at the Cottage should be business as usual for the visitors. They're priced up to win by more than one goal, in what could be a high scoring match.
