Again West Indies progress was steady but sure in response to a low total. A sumptuous Gayle six over mid-on followed by an equally well-timed four in the same area were the highlights of a meticulously assembled West Indies reply. Neither West Indian has been dismissed in the tournament so far.

Earlier Alistair Campbell looked in good form, taking a positive approach to the West Indies slow bowlers. It was in the third over that the slide began, Campbell deceived by a good Hooper delivery. Three runs was a desperately disappointing return from an innings that included a lot of fine shots, and the loss of three wickets - and consequently 30 runs - was the Zimbabweans downfall. The last of these wickets was particularly remarkable, guest wicket-keeper Andy Flower diving forward after a nick from Campbell to dismiss his erstwhile team-mate.

After passing the Zimbabwean total of 26, it was simply a case of keeping wickets intact, and Hooper and Gayle managed this with few alarms. West Indies lead the table with 4 points following their victories today against Zimbabwe and England.
