Windies 11/4 to bounce back with victory
West Indies' humiliating defeat in the first ODI could be good news for the punters
West Indies' humiliating defeat in the first ODI could be good news for the punters. Brian Lara's team have gone out to 11/4 to win the second match at Port Elizabeth, with South Africa short-priced favourites at 1/4.

Top Team Batsman: South Africa
With centuries in each of his last five matches, the form of Jacques Kallis has been nothing short of phenomenal. He is 11/4 to top-score for South Africa. When you consider this is the same price you can get on a West Indies victory - on current form a far less likely outcome than Kallis clocking up a substantial score - it's clear where the wise money should be. Herschelle Gibbs - who now regularly is at longer odds than Kallis or his captain Graeme Smith - looks good value at 7/2.
Top Team Batsman: West Indies
None of the West Indies batsmen made any impact whatsoever at Cape Town, and the markets remain virtually unchanged since the first match. Brian Lara is 2/1 favourite, and Ricardo Powell the generously priced outsider at 12/1. Ridley Jacobs could be a good bet in a low-scoring game. The wicket-keeper is 22/1 to top-score for the West Indians.
Man of the Match
Jacques Kallis and Brian Lara are joint 4/1 favourites to take the Man of the Match award. Graeme Smith - riding high in the Top Team Batsman market - could represent better value in the Man of the Match market - he is 9/1. Merv Dillon is the pick of the outsiders - he may be out of favour with Viv Richards, but Brian Lara certainly values his experience. At 28/1 Dillon might be worth a punt, especially if he can pick up a few cheap wickets bowling at the death.
