With the Cricket World Cup coming up soon, each participating team will be allocated a number of Warm-Up Matches against provincial teams before the tournament officially starts
With the Cricket World Cup coming up soon, each participating team will be allocated a number of Warm-Up Matches against provincial teams before the tournament officially starts.
On Monday 3rd February 2003 Namibia will be playing in a World Cup Warm-Up Match against the Gauteng Invitation XI at the Stan Friedman Oval (KHOSA Cricket Club) in Krugersdorp. The format will be a 50 over match starting at 10:00.
The Gauteng Invitation XI will be a combination of players from experienced to the not so experienced, giving players an opportunity to play against the neighbouring National team.
Other World Cup Warm-Up matches to take place in and around Johannesburg will be Gauteng Invitation XI vs Pakistan at the C J Lindeque Oval (Alberton) on 1st February 2003, Gauteng Invitation XI vs Pakistan at the Lenasia Stadium on 4th February 2003, Gauteng Invitation XI vs New Zealand at the Elkah Stadium (Soweto) on 6th February 2003.
