World Sports Group - a correction

In a report carried on the site on Thursday, March 30, 2006, entitled "TV tender offer leaves Pakistan in the cold" we stated that TV rights for Indian cricket were purchased by World Sport Group (WSC) Nimbus.

We wish to make it clear that the rights were acquired by Nimbus Communications Limited and that WSG were not part of those negotiations.

WSG and Nimbus Communications Limited were involved in a joint venture business by the name of World Sport Nimbus Pte Ltd. However, WSG sold its interest in this business to Nimbus Communications Limited in November 2004. The companies therefore have no further association with each other and the company subsequently changed its name to Nimbus Sport International Pte Limited.
