WP gun down the Strikers

Nashua WP thrashed Gauteng by an innings and 81 runs with more than a day to spare in a Supersport Series match at the Wanderers on Sunday.

WP added a further 72 runs to their overnight total and were dismissed for 447 giving them a first innings lead of 217 runs. The Gauteng second innings never got going and they succumbed to the Province pace attack with Alan Dawson claiming 4/27. He received excellent support from fellow pacemen Charl Willoughby (3/45) and Roger Telemachus (2/26).

WP play North West in a Supersport Series match in Potchestroom starting on Friday.
