Yorkshire look to Fleming
Yorkshire are looking to sign New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming as their second overseas player
Yorkshire are looking to sign New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming as their second overseas player. Speaking to the BBC, Geoff Cope, Yorkshire's director of cricket, revealed that, "discussions have taken place and are ongoing".
Yorkshire's one overseas player at the moment is Yuvraj Singh - described by Cope as "very talented but not seasoned" - following Matthew Elliott's decision to return home.
"Ever since Matthew went back to Australia, we have said that we would look at a replacement if a suitable one came up," Cope admitted.
Fleming has previous county experience. In 2001 he played for Middlesex.
