The rehabilitation of Zimbabwe Cricket has taken another major step following the signing of a lucrative kit sponsorship deal with the sports manufacturer Reebok.
Zimbabwe Cricket managing director, Ozias Bvute confirmed the deal, telling Sports Pro Media: "I can confirm that an agreement has been reached with Reebok but we will make a public announcement in the next few weeks. We are currently finalising the details."
The deal is expected to cover all national teams and franchises, and brings to an end a long-term tie-in with the local manufacturers, Faith Wear. The national squad, which is currently in South Africa ahead of a series of two Twenty20s and three ODIs, is likely to start using the new kit as soon as possible.
Reebok is a subsidiary of the German sports manufacturer Adidas, which has already secured kit deals with the Sri Lanka and South Africa cricket teams.
