Growing up in New Zealand, Mitchell McClenaghan started off, like several youngsters, as a gentle medium-pacer. At 19, he took his dad's advice to become a quicker bowler, and there has been no looking back. He tells David Leggat of New Zealand Herald that come the 2015 World Cup, New Zealand will have a formidable fast bowling line-up.
"It went from there. I didn't worry too much about accuracy but that's come along as my career's progressed. But I definitely went out initially and wanted to be the quickest bowler in the country."
