Want to make last two Tests special - Dhoni

MS Dhoni doesn't often give interviews, but given the topic was Sachin Tendulkar, he spoke at length with Lokendra Pratap Sahi of the Telegraph about his first tryst with Tendulkar, how he broke ice with the senior batsman and how the team plans to handle Tendulkar's last series.

"There had been speculation. I won't say I was totally surprised. At the same time, it's not something I was looking forward to. Sachin must have given it a lot of thought, for such decisions aren't taken casually. At the end of the day, you have to respect the call made. It's in our hands to make his last two Tests special. We'd like to win the series for Sachin and, hopefully, he'll get loads of runs. We'll do our bit, he'll have to do his.

"We have to keep it as normal as possible. There will be distractions, but we'd all like to make this series special. It will be an achievement if we succeed in not making Sachin feel as if the two Tests are his last. Basically, in the dressing room, we've got to keep things calm. We can control what happens there, we can't control what happens outside."

@RaghavendraMaya... Sachin has played 198 tests Matches for India.... He is one of few people who have played only for their country in past twenty years.... There has never been an Asian Test XI....

Don't believe that was a test match. That was an ODI played in the 90s against Rest of the World XI. Was a super close game; Bevan made 180 odd not out!

Does not matter if he finishes on 199 or 200. These should be viewed as his last two tests. Stats belong to ICC. The Asia XI game was handled by ICC officials with ICC rules.

Great! But if Sachin plays both Kolkata and Mumbai matches, he will complete only 199 tests for India not 200 tests. Because he played 1 test match for Asia XI team.
