I thought it was Jadeja who took most of the wickets ... that means after all the try by the pacers ... then how will new ball work magic for India ... taking new ball for the sake of it is foolish ... MSD displayed good judgment to restrict runs ... it is the batters (including MSD) who did not show fight on the last day

Not taking the new bowl in overcast conditions with steyn batting? how is this man managed to be india;s capatin?

This is exactly what I thought when I first read about Dhoni's comments. 3 hundreds to QDK and the perfect farewell test for Kallis. Even Santa wouldn't have given so much.

dhoni's place in playing 11 in test matches hurting india for many years? When will selectors drop dhoni from test squad? Bold decision should be taken to make india top team!

This is so funny and reality check on MSD Test Match approach.. But I think this young Batting Team(esp. Vijay, Pujara, Kohli and Rahane) have shown potential way more than any our expectation.

@morpheous, fantastic comment, recent example is De kock, Du Plessis, Peterson (both) and Kallis. No doubt if you are out of form, play against India :P..

What else is he; Converting Wins into Draws, Draws into Defeats and sucking out all the aggression from his young side ?

LOL! That's a good one. Eventually, Proteas didn't need a Dhoni Santa, they won the match themselves. With tours coming up, Dhoni might wanna quote those words again.

he he he...Indians have been Santas to many over the years. They have helped many batters with their maiden centuries and have brought many back to form, many bowlers have found the lost rhythm.
