Why would anyone want Rahane to open the innings. He is doing well in the middle order, so let him stay there. A few months ago, England made the same mistake with Root by making him bat in the top order and except for one or two innings, he was a failure. Now he is back to scoring heavily in the middle order where he is more comfortable. As for the opener's slot, Pujara can partner Vijay. Even now he is always facing the new ball more often than not.

1st innings collapse was understandable as jimmy and Stuart we're bowling unplayable deliveries. 2nd innings collapse was pathetic and just showed how the team had already given up after conceding a huge lead.after having them at 150 for 6 India must have finished things off. how one longs for kumble nowadays for he was the only Indian bowler who cleaned up tail enders. our spinners have no flight no guile no mystery. when will dhoni understand that pace is absolutely necessary at the top level. you can win t20 with gentle steady bowlers but not tests. aaron ,one of shami/bhuvi/ishant, and umesh, must be our frontline pacers.

Who in the current team can bat more than 2 sessions? We need someone who can bat like Dravid or Laxman. Thought Pujara and Rahane were the ones, but there seems to be a lack of concentration on their part. IPL and T20 have wreaked havoc on Indian batsmens' technique.

I used to think that Kohli is real world class and is even comparable to Viv Richards. When he gets going one is definitely reminded of Sir V R. Sadly, in this series he is yet to get going. For the sake of cricket (Indian cricket in particular) I do hope that this is a passing phase. One thing, however, is that he is yet to demonstrate his concentration over several sessions.

Funny that all the Gambhir hype is now gone.

Team india is blessed with talented cricketers. The need of the hour is to create best fit combination and utilisation of the same.for fifth test spin allrounder should be replaced by a medium pacer. It is right time to insert naman ojha in the team. Ishwer pandey should be given a chance in playing eleven.he may prove a surprise pack for england.the best combination may be as below 1 murli vijay 2. Rahane 3.pujara 4.rohit sharma 5.kohli6 naman ojha 7.dhoni 8.ashwin 9 bhuwaneshwer 10.ishant 11.varun aaron

Good one! Dhoni needs think about saving test cricket in general. If the largest fan base turn off that would be RIP for test cricket.x

Dhoni is so clueless in Tests. Captains should lead from the front and be knowledgeable about everything from the weather forecast to match state to tournament state. He needs to be sacked.

This series will be remembered for improper resource utilization of MSD. Good players warming benches and brought in only to disturb existing balance ..
